Book List Information offered

I noticed that many of the book list descriptions on this website for particular titles indicates "Fluent" for the Reading Level. I believe it would be a good idea to consider using standard measures of text complexity such as Lexile, AR, ATOS, DRP, REAP, etc. and to also offer interest level ranges whenever possible.

In terms of interest range,

In terms of interest range, there's definitely a field for that in the book list information.  It's listed as age level, not interest level, but that could be changed.  I'm just not always sure what to put as the age level, so I was hoping other people would add that.  Since I'm not in a facility on a day to day basis, I thought that the opinion of some on-site staff would be better.

In terms of the reading level, we had a discussion on this a while back, in August, I believe, and people were really into using the emergent/early/transitional/fluent system based on literacy research.  I could add additional fields to use other systems, if people were interested in that idea.  There's also a chart that links the reading stages to different systems -  http://www.youthlibraries.org/sites/default/files/Text%20Level%20Correlation%20Chart.pdf  So, if you feel like we should add Lexile, or AR, or any of those systems, I'd say just get a critical mass of folks who want the same thing and I'll change the system or add a field.
